Retention

The cheapest customer you will ever get is the one you already have.

Every lapsed customer and every enquiry that went quiet was paid for once already. Modus knows who they are — what they asked about, what they bought, how long ago — and goes back to them on a schedule, in their own timezone, without anyone having to remember.

  • Dormant contacts found by behaviour, not by memory
  • Nudges scheduled in the contact’s own timezone
  • Cooldown rules so nobody is messaged twice
  • Recovered leads marked as recovered, not quietly reset

A recovered lead is stored as recovered — retention work stays visible instead of blending into new leads.

What it does

The work, handled.

Audiences written the way you think

“Customers who paid but have not ordered in 60 days.” “Hot leads from the Diwali campaign who never bought.” Modus compiles the sentence into a filter over stage, score, order status and inactivity — no segment builder.

A recovered lead is marked as one

The pipeline has a `recovered` stage for exactly this. A lead you won back is visibly different from a fresh one, so the work of retention shows up in the numbers instead of disappearing into “new”.

Timezone-aware scheduling

A campaign set for 10am goes out at 10am where the contact is, not where your server is. Daily, weekly or one-off, with the next run computed from the schedule rather than a cron you have to babysit.

Cooldowns, enforced

Set a cooldown in days and a contact who already received this campaign inside the window is skipped — even if the run is chunked across several ticks. Nobody gets the same nudge twice.

Every send accounted for

Each run records a row per contact: sent, skipped, or failed with the reason Meta gave. When delivery drops you can see whose messages failed and why, instead of staring at a total.

The 24-hour window handled for you

Outside WhatsApp’s reply window only approved templates may be sent. Modus enforces that rather than letting a send silently fail, and tells you which contacts were in-window.

In practice

How it runs.

  1. 01

    Describe who went quiet

In a sentence. Stage, score, order history and days of inactivity are all fair game.

  2. 02

    Modus schedules and sends

Approved templates, in the contact’s timezone, paced and capped so nobody is over-messaged.

  3. 03

Replies come back to the agent

Anyone who answers lands in the same inbox with their whole history — the agent picks up mid-relationship, not from scratch.

And it shows up in the numbers

Retention revenue still credits the ad that first produced the customer. That is why a creative with a long sales cycle can look mediocre in month one and be your best-performing spend by month three.

Get the whole system, not just this part.

All four funnels run off one agent, one knowledge base and one customer record — which is the only reason the revenue can be traced back to what produced it.
